The Penthesilea Academy will open its program in 2023 with a colorful concert that will take you through the flute literature and beyond. Gudrun Hinze (solo piccoloist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra) and Karin Bonelli (Vienna Philharmonic) are not only the artistic leaders of this year's course week, but together with Christoph Eggner they have created a diverse program around the small and large flute. In addition to a new interpretation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's famous Flute Rondo, the high-class musicians will also let his son "speak," leading you further to Franz Schubert, who preferred to spend his summers in the Salzkammergut, and to ever-new formations and possibilities of expression.

K+K steht für Kirill Kobantschenko, Primgeiger der Wiener Philharmoniker und Gründer der Plattform. Geprägt von einem weiten musikalischen Horizont, der von Klassik über Jazz bis zu elektronischer Musik reicht, hat er Freunde und Kollegen um sich gescharrt, die seine Leidenschaft teilen.Sie alle sind bedeutende Vertreter der Musikstadt Wien und des Musiklandes Österreich. K+K versteht sich somit auch als Hommage an die kaiserlich-königliche Musiktradition des Landes. Der Gedanke, das Ensemble als Plattform zu etablieren, steht für den Wunsch nach größtmöglicher künstlerischer Freiheit und für einen kreativen Nährboden, der bei wechselnder Besetzung Überraschendes für den Zuhörer bietet.

The Austrian Brass Consort was founded in 2017 by a group of young musicians in Vienna to (re)interpret sacred and secular vocal literature with brass instruments. With this, the ensemble returns to the origins of instrumental music, when individual vocal parts were first doubled and later completely replaced by instruments. The fact that this is musically implemented with brass instruments in their current construction is a novelty. Therefore, one could also describe the members of the ensemble as pioneers in this field. The musicians of the Austrian Brass Consort dedicate themselves to the literature, arrange it, and bring it to performance. Thanks to the lineup of nine brass players and one percussionist, ranging from tuba to piccolo trumpet, the Austrian Brass Consort is able to exploit the entire range of brass sounds. The interpretations are oriented towards the sound ideal of the human voice and the apparent weightlessness of a vocal ensemble. With this idea, the ensemble was able to inspire the audience from the beginning and found enthusiastic support at its concerts. Inspired by their enthusiasm for (vocal) music, participating in the Austrian Brass Consort is a matter of the heart for the musicians to perform together as friends at a high, professional level.

Die Musikerinnen und Musiker des KLANGKOLLEKTIV WIEN verspüren die Notwendigkeit, außerhalb des Musikbetriebs die Werke ihres beruflichen Alltags auf eine andere Art für sich und das Publikum zu interpretieren.
Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Rémy Ballot, dessen Verständnis von tiefer Kenntnis der Werke und ihrer inneren Logik ausgezeichnet ist, wird die künstlerische Auseinandersetzung neu definiert. Sein Vermögen, die Magie des Zusammenspiels entfalten zu lassen, gibt die Möglichkeit, innere Leidenschaft und Ausdrucksmöglichkeit zu verwirklichen. Diese Verantwortung, die Jeder und Jede spürt, basiert auf einem wechselseitigen Vertrauen, zeichnet den Klangkörper und formt ein neues Orchesterverständnis.

Faltenradio

Ja, wie es sich für ordentliche Klarinettisten gehört, haben wir Landeier bei der Blasmusik angefangen und ja, der Pfarrer höchstpersönlich hat unser Talent erkannt und uns zum Studium in die große Stadt geschickt und ja, immer wenn wir Heimweh hatten, spielten wir unsere Musik und ja, viele große Werke haben ihren Ursprung in der Volksmusik und ja, man könnte auch sagen, viele schöne Melodien wurden den Landhühnern aus dem Nest gestohlen, und nein, wir hören damit jetzt nicht auf und ja, ganz im Gegenteil.
